Breed: Golden Retriever
Owner: Courtney McDonald - Tea, SD
So many memories, but one of my favorite ones is when he would play on the slip n' slide with us.
-
Quesa ~ 2003 - 2015
Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog
Owner: Shannon Hamack - Brandon, SD
Our favorite memory of Quesa is taking her camping with us and how much she loved the outdoors and running leash free in the fields and to swim. We love her free spirit.
She was a show stopper, she was so beautiful. Everywhere we went people stopped us. We took her with us to see a dog show once and all the Berner owners were nervous and then relieved we were not showing her.

Ringo ~ 2008 - 2015

Hey little buddy. I miss you. Always there to treat me with a series of stretches and poses... And it never failed if I was on the couch you had to be in my lap mere moments later. You are finally at peace after your sickness. No more hurt. I'll see you again at the rainbow bridge :-( rest in piece little buddy.

Felix ~ 2007 - 2014
Breed: Grey Tabby American Shorthair
Owner: Tasondra Huyck - Sioux Falls, SD
Dear Felix Mendelssohn Huyck,
I still miss you every day, sweet Fee! I was the only human you ever loved and for that I feel forever blessed. You were more opinionated and discerning than any human I've ever known and I both respected and loved that about you.

Lily ~ 2006 - 2014
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Owner: Angie Poulos - Sioux Falls, SD
Things I will miss about you:
* Cuddling in bed.
* Making me move far over so you could stretch out and sleep.
* Your sassing all the time and the conversations we had.
* Your beautiful face and loveable personality.
* Stealing the kitchen chairs when someone would get up and move.
* Playing in the water bowl with your toy balls.
* Finding your toy balls and how excited you got when you got to play with them.
* To many other things to list that I will miss, those are probably some of my favorites.I had got Lily when she was a kitten in 2006. Never did I think I would be faced with losing her so soon. Lily had been fighting getting these same stones these last 3 years or so. She got really sick so I had took her to the vet to get her looked at. She got so sick so fast that it doesnt even seem likes it's real.
After a few short days, we found out that she had a mass and it didn't look good. After seeing her, I knew it time to make that tough decision and knew I didn't want to see her in any more pain.
I lost my beloved Lily on 7/6/2014. My Lily girl was the princess in our household and adored so much. She was in a sense my little human child. For a long time, it was just the two of us and a bond that will forever stay with me.
There are just too many things to list that I will miss about you, but you will always be close to my heart. I know you are in Heaven with my Mama who will be the next best person to love you and of course Tyler (the dog) will be there too.
Until we meet again! I love you more then words can explain my Lily girl!

Poker ~ 1992 - 2014
Breed: Blue Persian Cat
Owner: Jan Fenske - Sioux Falls, SD
Poker enjoyed laying full body across the vents in our living room to try and stay either cool or warm.
On one occasion, Poker's name tag got caught in the vent and when Poker decided to get up, the vent was chasing him around his neck.
Poker made sure to run ever faster, hiss louder, during the attack of the vent! We all couldn't stop laughing as we tried to chase him down to get his name tag out of the vent. -
Scully ~ 1997 - 2014
Breed: DSH
Owner: David & Tayandy Braver - Sioux Falls, SD
Our much beloved Scully. There's so much I can say about her.
She was born in Chicago approximately the end of July 1997. She was found under bushes at a friend's work. She had gathered the kittens, and tried to save them. She'd heard I'd recently lost the kitten I'd moved to Chicago with, and had come to offer me a kitten. Both Scully and her brother, Mulder, had meowed at me, both in my lap staring up at me with huge eyes. Of course I took both. She was a thoughtful, smart, and intuitive companion. She was an amazing, and beautiful adventure for almost 17 great years.
Back in December 2013, she was diagnosed with mammary carcinoma. In early January 2014 she underwent surgery to remove a string of 4 tumors. At that time, they'd warned us that they may not have gotten everything, they couldn't be 100% positive. So we brought her home and hoped for the best. April 3rd 2014 at 2:49pm my beautiful momma passed away in my arms with Cayle, without any pain or suffering.
She's going to be terribly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Every one who met her liked her, even people that couldn't stand cats. In the end, Miss Momma even won over Izzy, our dog.
She leaves in our capable hands her daughters Madison and Zoe and she'll see her brother again.
We love you Miss Momma, thank you for giving us the time we had.
~ Fond Memories ~
Stealing your chair.
Doing tricks for treats.
Making the rounds on the kitchen table.
Came when you'd call her.
Beep. Chirp. Static. Squeak.
Teleporting into your lap.
The internal purr.
Her tail forever in your coffee or under your nose.
Using only her paw to drink water.
Dainty and graceful.
The sock crier.
Alien tail from Hell.
Burrowing in hoodies.
Pawing to get under the covers at night.
Trying to eat my hair. Regardless of whether it was on my head or in the hairbrush.
Marco Polo.
Circus time.
A great conversationalist.
Never aloof.
Contortionist for tummy rubs.
And many other things. So many things.

My parents bought him a baby pool and we would throw a rock in it to keep him busy. Then he would stick his nose under water to get the rock and he would blow bubbles! It was so funny!
He was my best friend.

Jelly ~ 2000 - 2013
Breed: Chihuahua
Owner: Jeffery Johnson - Hills, MN
Jelly was also known as "Anaconda," due to her fiery personality. She was affectionate and loving, but she had a temper!
Jelly loved to sleep on the couch, play with my nieces and nephews when they visited, treats, and picking on her brother, Basil.
She could howl like a little wolf--it was so adorable. My Anaconda is still sorely missed and will never be forgotten.
-
Sadie ~ 1997 - 2013
Breed: Bichon Frise
Owner: Gene and Pat Fergen - Sioux Falls, SD
Gene and I would have to say our favorite memory of Sadie was every day of her 15 and 1/2 years of life here on earth. She brought so much happiness and joy to our lives. She was smart, good with everyone she met, loved to ride in the truck, kind and was loved by all.Sadie went everywhere with us -shopping, camping, traveling; as long as she was with us she was happy. She was perfect in every way! Our hearts are heavy and our house is empty without Sadie. She would follow Gene everywhere.
We will never forget our Sadie. "Always in our hearts, never to be forgotten". We know she is waiting by heaven's gates for us and she is wagging her tail and giving kisses to everyone that enters heaven.

Blizzard ~ 1996 - 2011Breed: Australian Shepherd
Owner: Elise & Bob Dafoe - Sioux Falls, SD
Blizzard was our kid. We have a lot of memories of her, all good.
One of many memories of Blizzard, is when it was Christmas time and the presents were under the tree and she opened them when we were at work.
Another fond memory is the day I came home from the hospital, she laid in front of the my bedroom door and would not let her Daddy into check on Mommy until I told her that it is OK, Mommy is fine. Then she got up and came laid right next to me.
I got her when she was 10 weeks old and she drove truck with me up 'till she was 3 years old.
She is still missed to this day and we still remember the day when it was her time to go home with the lord.
Spike ~ 1999 - 2012Breed: Black Labrador/Spaniel

you truly were a very good friend.
From the time I last kissed you on the head,
here is what I think of when I go to bed.I have never had a pet before,
you were definitely easy to adore.
As years went by and I grew fond of you,
I learned to relate and communicate with you.You listened to me when I felt bad,
you licked my tears when I was sad.
When I was angry you gave me my space,
even though you may felt out of place.
You always knew when it was time to eat,
you even let me know when it was time for a treat.I miss you plopping on the floor,
I miss you scratching at the door.
I miss you licking my plate at night,
I miss playing with you and the play fight.
I miss you greeting me every day,
I miss you in every way...There is so much more I want to say,
but the people reading this feel the same way!I Love You Spike, Sara
Dottie ~ 1992 - 2006Breed: Springer Spaniel/Dalmatian
Owner: Ron Hartley - Canton, SD
She loved children and always seemed to be drawn to them. We lived close to the school and if we were outside when school let out, she would always greet every kid that walked down the sidewalk.
I think her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She loved opening the gifts "Santa" had brought her. She never bothered anyone elses gifts. When we would tell her it was OK to open her gifts, she would gently grab the gift from under the tree and open it up.
I Love You Forever & Always Dottie, Dad
